Boeber Run To Slangrivier

An invitation from “I Rise by lifting others” and the Al Sabr Foundation saw #TheCrew jump at the opportunity to participate in a special day for the parents and students of the Slangrivier Primary School.

#TheCrew set up their production line – sandwhich station, fruit packing, and got the pots fired up for the Akni mix supplied by our friends from the Husami Masjid. Even though they couldn’t join us, their good work kept going.  We wish Murad Ebrahim and his bride all the best for their future In shaa Allah.
This day was the epitome of how collaboration can be super effective, and how we can achieve so much more.  Our friends Protea Toyota, provided transport to and from the venue, our friends from the Husami Masjid ensured that we were able to make 600 litres of Akni, I Rise, and Al Sabr Foundations supplied toiletry packs, party packets, school shoes and Dairy Mart providing the milk for the cold milkshakes.  Last but definitely not least, we also have our hardworking volunteers and anonymous donors.

“None of us, including me, ever do great things.  But we can all do small things, with great love, and together we can do something wonderful.” – Mother Teresa

Wafeeq Suleiman had this to say about the day:

“I enjoyed the experience very much. I like the idea of the whole team working together to prepare the food/items that gets handed out. Very positive and pleasant energy displayed by all the team members.  I am grateful for the opportunity to participate. Shukran”

Spread the love
