What an amazing evening, Alghamdoelilah! Great fun was had by all as Lace Up
For Change and its supporters did their bit to #LightUp4Change as part of
the Islamic Relief South Africa #UnityWeek campaign.

Unity Week was about Unity In Action where organizations come together over
a week to raise funds for Orphans and Vulnerable Children. Lace Up For
Change was 1 of 4 organizations, Warriors of Hope South Africa AJ The Duo &
The Habibia Archery Club who teamed up with Islamic Relief South Africa to
host this inaugaral event. The Lace Up For Change contribution to this
campaign was the Light Up 4 Change initiative at the Rondebosh Common,
whereby participants arrived dressed and lit up and then proceeded to
complete 2 laps of the common sparking a festive vibe with sweet treats and

The love and support shared by all thus far has been overwhelming, shukran
to all! A special thanks to Ommiedraai Friends Athletic Club for
volunteering as Marshalls, Sniper Security Ltd for keeping us safe, the
medical team from Melomed and lastly but not least, to #TheCrew for your
relentless pursuit in making a difference to the lives of those most
vulnerable. May you all continue to amaze and inspire!!!
